Pending Settlement Overview
Outstanding Balance Report
Understanding how much money is still outstanding is essential for accurate financial planning and cash flow control. In wallee, you can monitor unsettled transactions using either the wallee portal or wallee Analytics.
This section explains both approaches and provides the tools you need to track which transactions have not yet been settled.
Pending Settlements
If you navigate to the wallee portal -> select a space -> Settlement you can select all Bank Transaction in Upcoming status. This means that the transaction wasn't settled yet.

Upcomming Settlements on Space Level What Counts as “Outstanding”?
Outstanding transactions refer to payments that have already been processed but have not yet been settled. These can have different statuses:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
Upcoming | The transaction was successfully created and forwarded to the acquirer but has not yet been settled. |
Settled | The transaction has either already been paid out to your bank account or is available in your wallee balance for payout. |
💡 Settlement delays are normal — especially for credit card schemes. Transactions can take 3–4 banking days depending on the acquirer. Weekends and bank holidays are not counted.
Option 1: Using the wallee Portal
If you're managing a single space or want a quick view, you can use the wallee portal:
- Log in to your wallee portal.
- Navigate to Account → Settlements.
- Filter for Upcoming bank transactions.
- Export the report as a CSV file.
- In Excel or any spreadsheet tool, filter by the
Upcomingstatus and sum the corresponding amounts.
This method allows you to check all pending settlement entries for a given space.
📌 Reports from the portal are available on a per-space basis and may have export limits on the number of rows.
Option 2: Using wallee Analytics (Recommended for Multi-Space Reporting)
If you're managing multiple spaces or need more flexible reporting, you can use wallee Analytics. This requires the Analytics module to be enabled in your subscription.
To get a full list of outstanding transactions across spaces, you can run the following SQL query:
-- Outstanding Balance Report using Analytics
-- Returns all unsettled transactions (Upcoming)
SELECT *
FROM banktransaction
WHERE settlementstate = 'UPCOMING'
Filter Upcoming Transactions by Date
To identify all unsettled transactions (status UPCOMING) that were created before a specific cut-off date, you can use the following query. This helps you understand which payments are still pending as of a particular reporting date — for example, for month-end reconciliation.
📅 In the query below, adjust the date
'2025-07-01'to reflect the day after your reporting cut-off (e.g. use July 1st to report on June 30th).
SQL Query: Upcoming Transactions Before a Given Date
-- List all unsettled transactions (status UPCOMING) created before a specific date
SELECT
*
FROM
banktransaction
WHERE
settlementstate = 'UPCOMING'
AND createdon < date('2025-07-01') -- ← Change this to the day after your cut-off date
ORDER BY
createdon ASC;
How to Use It:
- Paste this query into the Analytics module.
- Optionally filter by spaceId, currency, or date range.
- Export the result as Excel or CSV for further processing.
✅ This approach is ideal if you want to automate reporting, track multiple subsidiaries, or perform monthly financial reviews.
Summary
| Method | Use Case | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Portal Export | For single spaces with few transactions | Manual CSV + Excel filtering |
| Analytics SQL | For multi-space / automated reporting | Custom report via query |
