Reconciliation and Settlement with wallee as an Acquirer

When using Wallee (SnapSwap) as an Acquirer, all your payments — whether processed via POS or E-Commerce — are aggregated and settled according to the agreed payout cycles. This page provides an overview of how settlements are processed and how you can reconcile incoming funds against your processed transactions.

Wallee as Acquirer

Once your onboarding is complete and Wallee is configured as your Acquirer, we can provide acquiring services for multiple payment methods, including:

  • Credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • PostFinance
  • TWINT
  • Other local and international schemes

All transactions are aggregated and paid out to your designated bank account based on the agreed settlement frequency (e.g. daily, weekly).

Reconciliation

To help you reconcile incoming funds with your processed transactions, we provide a clear overview in your Account > Balance section within the Wallee Dashboard. This includes:

  • Available Balance: Funds currently available for payout.
  • Pending Payout: Funds that are in the process of being transferred.
  • Rolling Reserve: Funds held back as a reserve (only applicable to selected business models based on individual agreements).

ℹ️ Rolling Reserve is only applied if explicitly agreed upon during onboarding.

Payouts

In the Payout section, you can view all upcoming settlements and the associated processing dates. See more Information below about the states. The section statements-and-transaction-reports.md contains more information about how the payments can be reconcilied.

⚠️ Please note: Settlements are only processed on business days.

Settlement Cycles

We support payouts in both the SEPA area (EUR) and the Swiss Interbank Clearing System (CHF), each with their respective cut-off times. Settlement timing may differ depending on the payment method:

Payment MethodSettlement Speed
TWINTT+1, Typically next business day
Visa / MastercardT+2, Typically after 2 business days
PostFinanceT+1, Typically next Business Day

Despite these internal differences, all funds are bundled and paid out according to your configured payout rhythm.

Transaction Types

Under the Transactions section, you'll find detailed information about each transaction, categorized by type:

  • Settled Funds: Incoming payments we have received from the schemes. These include card payments, TWINT, PostFinance, and others.
  • Internal: Internal transfers, typically relevant only when funds are moved to the rolling reserve account.
  • Manual Correction: Adjustments or fees applied manually — often due to delayed scheme charges or retroactive corrections. More Information can be found in the manual-corrections-fees.md section.
