Confirmation Mail gets sent before order is authorized
Issue
OpenCart sends the order confirmation mail once the order has been created, but before the authorization has taken place. Customers therefore receive a confirmation before the payment was actually taken.
Why this happens
OpenCart sends the order confirmation email whenever an order changes its order state. This is standard OpenCart behaviour and cannot be changed.
Solution
To prevent order confirmations before authorization, set the processing status in the plugin configuration to none (or keine, depending on your language):

The order status is then only set once the payment is authorized — that is, once the customer has entered their payment information.
To suppress OpenCart emails for PostFinance Checkout orders entirely, activate the OpenCart modification prevent confirmation mails. PostFinance Checkout can then be configured to send the order confirmations instead.
