Payment Methods
With wallee payments you accept the essential payment methods for the Swiss and Luxembourgish market through a single contract. This page lists the methods included, on which sales channels each of them works and in which currencies they are settled.
Payment methods are activated as part of your onboarding. Once your contract is active, the corresponding connectors are configured for you — see Processors, Payment Methods and Connectors if you want to understand how the configuration fits together.
What the sales channels mean
| Sales channel | When it applies |
|---|---|
| E-Commerce | Online checkouts — payment page, iFrame, lightbox, payment links and shop plugins. |
| Physical Terminal | Card-present payments at a terminal in your store or at an unattended machine. |
| On-file | Recurring or repeat payments using a stored payment method. See Tokenization. |
| MOTO | Mail order / telephone order payments entered by you on behalf of the customer. See MOTO Payments. |

Beyond wallee payments
The list above covers the methods included in wallee payments. You can extend your offering in two ways:
- Additional payment methods within wallee — for example American Express, Powerpay / Powercard, Reka, Innocard Loyalty or SwissPass.
- Alternative payment methods via external processors or PSPs — using your own acquiring contracts.
See Payment set-ups in wallee for how the three set-ups compare.
