1. How do I pair the BP50 Bluetooth printer with my A50 S terminal?

Follow these steps:

  1. Power on the BP50 printer.
    • A green LED indicates the printer is on.
    • A blinking blue LED means it's ready to pair.
  2. On your A50 S terminal, go to the Settings menu and tap “Connect Printer”.
  3. Wait while the terminal searches for available printers.
  4. From the list of detected printers, select your BP50 printer.
  5. Once the connection is successful, the terminal will return to the Welcome screen and is ready to print.

2. How do I unpair or disconnect the BP50 printer?

  1. Open the Settings menu and tap “Connect Printer.”
  2. When the list of available printers appears (including any currently connected), tap “Unpair.”
  3. (Optional) If you select a different printer from the list, the current one will be unpaired and the new one will automatically pair.
  4. The terminal will return to the Welcome screen after successful disconnection.

3. What should I do if printing fails?

Printing errors can occur if:

  • The printer is out of paper
  • The printer is offline (powered off or out of Bluetooth range)

In both cases, the terminal will display an error message on screen.

4. How can I update the BP50 printer’s operating system (OS)?

  1. Download the latest OS file from PAX PPN:

  2. Install the “Base Link” APK on the A50 terminal.
  3. Open the app, tap “Scan”, and select the BP printer.

  5. Tap option 5 – updateFirmware-OS-BUNDLE, then “Test” and wait for the update to complete.
  6. Once the update finishes, scan the printer again, and reconnect via option 0 – baseConnect.
  7. Tap option 2 – getDeviceInfo and verify:
    osVer = Mullet02_Base_Monitor_Release_20250113(V1.03).bin
  8. Important: After updating, unpair and re-pair the printer.
    Without this step, the printer will appear connected but will not function properly.
