Pingen Printing Service
Introduction
Pingen Print is a cloud‑based printing and mailing service integrated with the wallee platform. It allows you to automate PDF printing and postal dispatch of invoices, reminders, packing slips, and other documents, either for dunning purposes or order fulfillment. The printing job is triggered via a web request and sent to a supported printing provider; default or custom printer configurations are used per document type or connector.
Key Capabilities
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Service Integration | Seamlessly integrates with services like pingen.com (Classic) to print and mail documents directly from wallee. |
| Connector Assignment | Assign a specific Pingen printer per Connector or Dunning Flow level. Can trigger printing at invoice or dunning stages. See for more details here |
| Automatic Triggering | Auto-triggers print jobs when transactions reach specific states (Completed or Fulfill ) based on connector settings. This could be used to automatically print orders when they are placed in your store to send the invoice etc. |
| Monitoring & Retry Logic | Print jobs can be inspected, rescheduled, or downloaded; system retries failed jobs until success, but cannot guarantee actual print completion. |

Set as Default Printer (Optional)
- The first printer you create becomes the default—used if no specific printer is assigned.
- Only one printer can be default; missing this configuration will cause all print jobs to fail.\
Assigning Printers to Connectors & Dunning Flows
To print documents at specific workflow stages
- Edit the Connector configuration (QR‑Bill, eBill, etc.)
- Navigate to the "Print" section
To print a dunning reminder
- Assign the same Pingen printer to that dunning level via its configuration screen
- When the system escalates an invoice into that level, the document will be sent using the assigned printer
Rescheduling & Retry Logic
- On failure, the system retries automatically
- If all retries fail, the job moves to Failed
- You may reschedule failed jobs manually via the UI\
Document Validation & Automatic Fixes
Interactive PDFs & Metadata Issues
If your document contains interactive elements (e.g. form fields, annotations, multimedia), Pingen assigns a status of "Action Required", and the document will not be accepted until the elements are converted into static PDF content. Make sure you position those according to the pingen limits.
- Conversion can be done manually via the WebApp
- Or automatically using Presets (recommended for bulk uploads)\
