Restrictions / Limitations
π« Restrictions & Limitationsβ
The Accounting Summary in wallee is designed to provide a basic overview of account movements during a selected period. It enables simplified bookkeeping and tax reporting β but it is not a replacement for a full ERP system.
β Intended Useβ
Use the Accounting Summary for:
- Simple sub-ledger tracking
- High-level reconciliation at period end
- Manual booking of net changes into external systems
- Cross-checking payouts and revenue movements
π« Do not use it as a full financial accounting system. For complex integration please use the reconciliation-tools where we offer a full scale integration.
π Currency Handlingβ
wallee does not support multi-currency reconciliation in Accounting Summaries.
| β οΈ Issue | Explanation |
|---|---|
| No exchange rates | wallee does not apply conversion rates or handle FX differences |
| Mixed-currency confusion | Multiple currencies may distort totals and make summaries unreliable |
| ERP mismatch | External systems may calculate balances differently due to FX impacts |
π If your setup includes multiple currencies, we strongly discourage using the Accounting Summary for reconciliation.
π§ Key Limitationsβ
| Limitation | Detail |
|---|---|
| No starting or ending balances | Only movements are shown β totals must be tracked externally |
| No FX reconciliation | Currency fluctuations are ignored entirely |
| No full audit trail | Journal entries are visible but not meant for regulatory auditing |
| Not real-time | Delays may occur during file import or report generation |
| Manual effort required | CSV files must be exported and interpreted manually |
